Welcome to our website! How better suited could we be for each other. One of Brandon's hobbies is collecting and doing photoshoots for 1/6th scale action figures and one of Jeanette's hobbies is collecting fashion and BJD dolls, sewing for them and creating photostories with them! Wow! So, on this site you will find information and pictures about "dolls" from companies like Elfdoll, Limhwa, Franklin Mint and Tonner and and "action figures" made by companies like bbi, DID and Dragon. Here we will post photos of our work and play, our creations and our ideas. We hope you enjoy visiting here!

It all started back in 1964 when Hasbro did something many believed was a huge risk.  They planned to release a new product, but it was unusual for its day. Innovative certainly, but risky just the same. First of all, it had a military theme and this was during the Vietnam War. A lot of people didn't the US should be in a war in Asia, so they formed an anti-war movement . "PEACE" signs were everywhere. "Make love not war!" was their battlecry.Secondly, they targeted boys as their market. Not unusual except the product was, well, a "doll." It may not be obvious today, but back then boys simply didn't play with "dolls." The term "action figure" wasn't part of the public vernacular. Would little boys play with "dolls?" Yes! He was GI Joe! Much to everyone's surprise, he was well received and started a legacy that continues to this day.

GI Joe stood about 12" high which was about 1/6th scale. He came as a basic figure and you purchased equipment sets separately, from combat gear to dress uniforms, ARMY , Navy Air Force or Marine. You could even get a jeep for him to ride in.

Welcome to My 1/6th scale hobby Web Page!

It all started back in 1964 when Hasbro did something many believed was a huge risk. The released a "doll" for boys call GI Joe. Much to everyone's surprise, he was well received and started a legacy that continues to this day.

I got my first Joe when I was nine and he was my favorite toy until I was a teenager and my mom convinced me I was too old to play with "dolls." They were pretty much out of my life until 1999 when 21st Century Toys released another 1/6th scale Action Figure in their Ultimate Soldier line. I got a few of them and that was the end of ready cash.'

My collection now is in the hundreds and includes:

Five German motorcycles with sidecars and one without
Four Kettenkraftrads
Four Kubelwagens
a PzKpfw 38t
a Panther
a Tiger
A T-34
An Indian Motorcycle
a Harley Davidson Motorcycle
Three US Jeeps
A White Scout Car
Three Stuarts
A 1934 Ford Roadster
and more horses than I can remember

What does a grown man do with 300+ action figures and a garrage full of 1/6th scale vehicles?

 Well, I'm glad you asked.

In addition to simply collecting them and adding to thier realism by modifying their equipment etc. We set up 1/6th scale "frozen moments in time" we call dioramas. When then take pictures of them.

Screen Shot: Project BOB
BOB is a full-function arcade game, using the keys seen at the left (which you can redefine). BOB is programmed entirely in HTML/JavaScript and has 36 different screens and 3 different enemies, 2 of which move. The image at the left shows keys and doors, which are dynamic---once you get them, they're gone (until the next game!). Try BOB out, or read more about creating Bob in the About and What's New section.

Here are some of my favorite 1/6th discussion boards:

Buried in fabric and loving it!

Some people paint in oils ( I tried it and got more paint on me than I did on the canvas) Some people take amazing photographs ( My sisters take after my father in that respect...I'm lucky if I can keep the camera from shaking)

Well, I sew! (I take after my mother) I love to sew! I love to design and sew costumes, historical clothing, haute couture...fabric is my medium and it is my passion! I also love dolls! I was sewing for my dolls before I was knee high to a grasshopper! (as my mom used to say)

Put the two together and you can guess what I love to do and what my part time business is. I sew costumes, historical clothing and haute couture for dolls. On the following pages you will find my work and my passion. Some pages will have designs I have created just for me. Other pages will have dolls and outfits I have and will be putting up on ebay. You will even find a small salesroom on this website. These are my ways of sharing my passion for sewing with you. I hope you enjoy sharing it with me!
